WWH Charitable Foundation has championed the cause of community development, health, education, and women empowerment for a long time now within the Aarey Forest areas. Each program has been dealt with delicately, putting our beneficiaries' needs before our act of helping.

Our trust was founded in the forests of Aarey Milk Colony, Mumbai back in 2013. For these 8 years, we have consistently strived to introduce systemic change within the Aarey premises that today consists of 32 villages or padas and a population of around 90,000 tribal folks. These indigenous individuals have long struggled to keep up with the growing urbane movement in Mumbai and have relied on farming and small-scale work for their livelihoods. With the onset of the pandemic and subsequent restrictions/lockdowns, they have not only been cut off from their meagre income but also receive no relief, considering their treatment as second-class citizens.

Through WWH and a strong band of regular volunteers, we are giving in our best efforts to provide them with basic food, groceries, and health&hygiene kits. On the sidelines, we have also worked on continuing our efforts to provide education to children and youth and every fitting chance for them to be integrated into mainstream society in the future. With the second wave of COVID-19, their lives have once again come to a standstill, requiring them to rely on help from us and from generous donors who are heeding their cry for help.
